We are a privately owned and locally operated 94-bed skilled nursing facility and we’re pleased to consider ourselves “home grown.”  You can trace our history back to the opening of Rest Haven, the first nursing facility in Washington State to be owned and operated by a registered nurse, Margaret Cookson.

In 1987 we opened the doors of Mira Vista Care Center at our current location 300 S. 18th in Mount Vernon.

When it was time to develop our mission statement all staff members were involved.  We think you’ll agree it is unique in its brevity and focus and we are proud to put it in practice every day -
