Welcome to Mira Vista Care Center
We've been serving Skagit Valley families for generations. Today we offer a full complement of services with an emphasis on short-stay rehabilitation. As an independent and locally owned care center we're proud of the service we provide to our community. We deeply value our relationships with residents, families, employees, and other local providers. We listen and respond. No matter what brings you to Mira Vista, whether it's nursing care, rehabilitation services or just to visit a loved one, our goal is to make your experience a positive one. At the end of the day we want everyone we meet to feel we've made a difference in their lives.
History
Our story goes all the way back to 1951 with the opening of Rest Haven, the first nursing facility in Washington State to be owned and operated by a registered nurse, Margaret Cookson. The culture of compassionate care began with Margaret and her mother who cooked meals and her father who was in charge of maintenance. In 1987 Mira Vista Care Center opened as a brand new facility at its current location of 300 South 18th Street. And we're still independent and locally owned.
Part of the joy of being connected to our community for so many years is hearing all the wonderful family stories, some dating back over 60 years. If you have a story to tell we invite you to share it with us. We look forward to hearing from you!
